What About My People?

"Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities" Matthew 11:1

"THEIR" pops out from this verse.

When we go and obey and leave all consequences to Him, He will come and teach Himself to our city (my family, my loved ones).

As long as I don't obey, I'm on my way and I'm keeping Him from going to my city. As long as I try to do things on my own, I'm robbing Him from preaching to my city.

It's amazing how Jesus lived His life. There was no record of Him reaching out to His parents, brothers or sisters that they must believe Him to be saved. His family even misunderstood Him as someone crazy or out of His mind when He started His ministry. Yet we find them in the upper room, during the day of the Pentecost. James, His earthly brother was martyred because of His faith.

He was faithful. He only did and said what His father told Him. He knew what He was called to do and left everything to God.

No doubt God does not want anyone to perish. The good news will be preached to everyone.

We just obey and He will preach to our city.

This Is Not A Race

Who is more spiritual and who's not
I feel Him, I don't feel Him
I realized this yet he hasn't seen
This is not a race

He does these, He doesn't
How come I can't be like him
Passion like his, passion like this
This is not a race

My child understand this
You deserve more than these
I can change you better with ease
But your character is what you miss

Advice here, advice there
I don't need this, I know this
Yes indeed, but remember this
Just listen, for I can change you even w/o tips

Oh my child, imagine what is ahead
You are heir to the man of faith
Wisdom is what it is
Learn to fight because you know
I have done more than best

God is love even before the world began
In Him there is no hatred and lust
Trust Him even when you feel not
Lift your head up, a cloud of witnesses above

Grace is God's gift to those who believe. It is not a stairway to instant forgiveness after deliberately sinning. It is rather a potential to live a life of higher standard. Our best response therefore, is to live a holy life; making us a cut above the rest.

But then again, we can always choose to be obedient or otherwise. It is all up to us.

Compare Me? [Psalm 113-114]

As far as your eyes can see
Why do you want to know
When all of them is by me
Compare me, even the sky will speak

I did everything with pleasure
Who says it was hard for me
I delight in things that are impossible
To you who doubts that I'm able

What's the point when all you have is me?
You search with the wrong intention
Fear me, not blind men who can't see
I'm wisdom, worship me

I proved Myself many times
Remember thee, or your hearts will freeze
History is mine
No story ever exists without my guide

I'm directing your steps, you godly
Never think uncertainty is behind
My promise revealed, don't be deceived
I'm not slow, If I was, you won't receive

I love you and the world that you live in
My desire is always to dwell within
Be strong and stand still
I am He, the God that I used to be
Believe me, trust me, worship me

Enthusiasm Redefined

Sometimes trying to think positive all the time is not enough.
No matter how hard i try, it is always not enough.

To work enthusiastically is to work fervently in the Spirit; to boil, to stretch out, to step up further, to have zeal.

I always thought that to be enthusiastic is to be always positive, to be always smiling no matter the circumstance.

Later, I found out that to be enthusiastic means to allow the Holy Spirit to excite us when we work.
I believe it is true since we are nothing without Him. It is His grace that enables us to obey.

To be positive is OK, but to ask Him to excite you is a different thing.

In the workplace, suddenly, plates turned into spaceships. The mop and the broom turned into mother ships invading planet Grease. Things are turning out to be fun and exciting. Now I understand what enthusiasm really is. Imagination comes in handy this time!

I think i'm the best dishwasher in the world.

Uneasy Change [Psalm 79]

a struggle to obey when i know i have to...

Sovereign God You are in control
Pressured? Stressed? Not at all
You have planned everything ahead
"just trust me", that's what You said

New mercies come every morning
All my needs, you always bring
My strength is in You
I'm helpless and weak without You

God have mercy on me
I can't do what you told me
Help me obey you willingly
You are to be feared more than the enemy

My flesh is too strong
But to You I belong
I have the weapons to fight
This world is full of darkness

Don't lose your sight

Is is too much for you?
Know that it is all good
You should grow even when not in the word
I will never leave you begging for food

Present your needs to Me
Lift them up until I see
Increase your faith, son
Fear Me because I'm the only One

A Way To Love

This year I have been asking God to teach me how to love others more.
Earlier, I was in a bus sorrounded by different kinds of people. Some smell bad, some look weird, some look mad, etc. I asked God, “This is tough. How can I show love to these people?”

And then I heard a voice, “What is love when you know they will love you back?”

I still did not get it.

During the past few days, I have been learning how to love. I found a way to love. The first lesson is to love like you knew them. What I do is I try to imagine anyone smiling at me no matter who they are because it makes me feel that I knew them.

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.” Jeremiah 1:5

I believe one of the reasons why God loves us is because He knew us. He created us despite who we are presently. We came from Him and we are created for Him.

I remember the days when I used to attend a 3-to-5-day camp. At the end of the the camp I feel like I love everyone because I knew them. We have been together for quite some time, we had fun together and developed friendship together.

Sometimes it takes time; and to see the way God loves me takes faith.
Smile… make them smile… imagine smile… you make Him smile…
